About

Cannabis plants are similar to other plants that they are indeed susceptible to infestations, watering, and other nutrient deficiencies.

There are different methods to help with this, and you can indeed bring the dying plant back to life.

In order to start with this, you should have a cannabis journal, to record the growth and behavior of the plants, along with anything weird that you might see down the line.

First Check the Symptoms

Sick plants or those that are stressed show different symptoms.

The speed that you see these does vary, especially overnight, or over time.

First you’ve got yellowing leaves. This is usually due to not watering right, usually too much.  Some people think that they need to give these plants water, but it actually suspects them to what’s called root rot and other pathogens too.

On the flip side, you’ve got underwatering. Plants that get too dry actually can be impacted really fast. This happens whenever you don’t feed it water for a day or so.

Nitrogen is another, which can actively happen if you’re not giving the plant the right soil that’s there.

Stretching is another one. This is something that looks kind of leggy, where it looks like it’s trying to stretch somewhere. This is typically caused by not enough light, or sometimes too cold in the greenhouse in most cases.

You may also notice stunted growth, buds that aren’t really growing, and the leaves awkwardly upwards.

How to Fix Watering issues

The biggest thing is to check the drainage immediately. Take the container away from saucers that are filled with the water, and then put them on clay pebbles or gravel to help with draining the excess.

Next, you need to stop watering your plant as much. Look at where you went wrong, and where they started to get too much water.

Another thing is to make sure that you’re not watering them if you’re not sure whether or not you’re watering them too much.

How to fix underwatered Plant

Underwatered plants look sickly, and it’s something that you can easily fix.

The simple solution is more water, and first, you want to saturate the medium so that about 15% of the water there is left at the bottom. From here, you can do the finger test. Consider drip irrigation as well to make sure they’re hydrated.

You also should water them more if they’re bigger, and transplant to larger containers too.

How to fix Nutrient Deficiency

If you notice that they have a nitrogen or nutrient deficiency, this may be something you’ll want to fix right away.

The same goes for toxins too.

First thing is you should check the journal to see what you’ve changed, and if there was anything missed as well.

The second thing is also check the NPK ratio, since this may be a big problem, especially if there any nutrients out of balance.

You may need to rebalance this, and also check to make sure that the deficiencies aren’t’ occurring when you’re feeding it the correct things. Also be mindful of lockout look.

This also may be due to overfertilizing, which is seen but nutrient burns, and usually it’s nitrogen toxicity.

The obvious solution here is to dial back on how you’re feeding it and give it pH balanced water.

You may need lime cleaner too, and also make sure that you’re not overfeeding or underfeeding it.

You should also check the growing medium too, since you may not have good soil as well. This goes with everything especially with dying plants.
